For the proper functioning of competitions, it is fundamental to have a regulatory framework that guarantees legal certainty in judgments, establishes standards of conduct, ensures the observance of fundamental procedural guarantees, and strengthens the notions of competitive merit and fair play. This study aims to present the reader with an overview of the main disciplinary infractions subject to judgment by the Sports Justice system, as provided for in the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD).
